Awesome origami
For years now I have been really interested in origami, I can even remember how to make a few things which comes in handy sometimes when you need to impress guests at a dinner table.
Origami can be seen throughout graphic design and especially in logo design. Done correctly digital representation of origami can produce stunning logo designs.
Most famous of all is Google's origami logo. Below are a few examples of origami from dribbble and a few other websites.
The trick is create something that is either visually stunning or that unique its not been done before! Over the next few days I will be attempting to achieve both of these points!

Aycliffe Tri Club - Aycliffe Tritons
A new logo idea that I will propose to a Tri-athlon club called Aycliffe Tri Club, my idea is to rename them the Aycliffe Tritons and use neptunes trident as the main branding!
Trident because it gets the idea of 3 over very well!

Permoid Redesign
This one is the start of my redesign for Permoid industries which has been around since 1945, clearly from the 1980's logo they went incorporated in 1985 and I do not think they have been redesigned since! I feel like this is my good deed for the day, like helping an old lady across the road!

A new logo design/concept for a start-up company called 'stitch-up' who specialise in embroidery!
I explored the use of stitches and textures to create this embroidered badge effect!

My Design Heroes 2012
Well I bow to the prowess and beauty of the website that is Dribbble. It is such an amazing platform to get work featured along side some of the best designers in the world.
For you people who do not know what Dribbble is then please visit the site. Dribbble is a platform to show off your work in just 400x300 pixels, a challenge in itsself but some designers they thrive on this challenge.
